- Dress code
Argentine Tango is an elegant dance. So we prefer our students not to wear jeans or sneakers.
For practical reasons, namely ease of executing pivots, we recommend our students to wear shoes with
smooth-leather sole. Ladies can choose shoes with either flat or high heels for the classes.
It is important to feel comfortable and stable in one's shoes and it helps to wear shoes which
hold the feet well.
For any other questions regarding the dress code, feel free to contact us.
We also offer group classes for:
- Tango technique levels I and II or Fundamental classes I and II .
- Milonga classes .
- Vals cruzado classes .
If you are interested in any of these classes, please contact us for more information and schedules.
- Advanced Beginners/Intermediates classes are directed at two kinds of dancers:
- Beginners who completed the Introductory course and Fundamental Level I who want
to learn on how to put it all together.
- Tangueros and Tangueras of all levels who Want to improve on
the feel of the dance (smoother lead due to smoother transitions and smoother follows
due to a readiness for improvisation).
- Tango Fundamental Level I classes are directed at two kinds of dancers:
- Beginners who completed the Introductory course and want to perfect their technique.
- Tangueros and Tangueras of all levels who Want to Brush up on their Technique
- Fundamental Level II classes are directed at two kinds of dancers:
- Dancers who have completed Fundamental Level I (also a 6 week course).
- Tangueros and Tangueras who want to brush up on their Technique and are already
comfortable with the basic technical elements of the Argentine Tango. In doubt, join us
and we will share our opinion with you if you wish.
- Milongas and Vals Cruzado classes are directed at two kinds of dancers:
- Dancers who have completed both the introductory & the Fundamental level I courses.
- Tangueros and Tangueras who want to brush up on their Technique and are already
comfortable with the basic technical elements of the Argentine Tango.
- Our recommendation:
For beginners in Argentine Tango, it is best to first take the introductory course of
Argentine Tango (6 classes) so that you can familiarize yourself with walking and
embracing before learning any combination of steps. Then you may take the Fundamental level I course.
This latter course will go into more technical details with an emphasis on lead/follow.
For those who are already Tangueros or Tangueras, the Fundamental classes level I and II are good
as they each focus on a particular technical difficulty. So you may drop in at any time.
Experienced Tangueros and Tangueras can join the fundamental level II classes at any time
to brush up on any particular aspect of the Argentine Tango we are working on.
Come and try it out.
