Cecilia De Lorenzo and Avi Win have danced Argentine Tango for over 10 years
in many places all over the world including Argentina.
They travelled all over the United States as well as visited Buenos Aires to
receive their training, perfect their dancing, and to practice the art,
the magic and the mystery of Argentine Tango with the greatest Old Masters
and Modern Teachers of Argentine Tango.
Among most renown and prestigious Argentine instructors that
Cecilia and Avi studied with are: Sergio Cortazzo
and Gachi Fernandez, Julio Balmaceda and Corina De La Rose, Fernanda Ghi and
Guillermo Merlo, Carlos Copello and Alicia Monti, Nestor Ray and Patricia Garcia,
Osvaldo Zotto, Milena Plebbs, Guillermina Quiroga, Puppy Castello, Ernesto Balmaceda and
Stella Baez, Pablo Varon, and more.
Amongst well known American instructors
who dedicated to preserving and promoting authentic Argentine Tango as it is
really danced in the clubs of Buenos Aires, Cecilia and Avi studied with
(and continue to follow the tradition they learn from) Linda Valentino.
Cecilia and Avi favor the authentic style of Argentine Tango, in which
partners who never have met before can dance together, over flashy stage tango
that usually requires both partners to know the choreography ahead of time.
As such, Cecilia and Avi’s classes put strong emphasis on Technique,
Musicality and Connection – the three most important things necessary
for dancing. Students are provided with both the basics concepts of the
dance and the tools for improvisation. The great effort is made to
enable student to feel comfortable in any milongas (i.e. social dances)
including those in Buenos Aires, which are famous for been extremely crowded.
Argentine Tango is not only an elegant dance, but also a culture. As integral
part of the dance instruction, Cecilia and Avi will share with you the
etiquette and background of Argentine Tango, introduce to you the best
orchestras of the traditional Argentine Tango, and lead you for your first
steps in this complex but enchanting world.
Join their Introductory Course and see by yourself how much fun and accessible
Argentine Tango is.
Enroll in their technical classes, Fundamentals I and II to discover another
layer made of challenges and exaltations. With the support and guidance of
Cecilia and Avi explore the potential of Argentine Tango for a never-ending
complexity and become the creator of your own dance!
